Back in September, we received an inquiry from a gentleman in Pennsylvania with an interesting project. He wanted to avoid bulldozing his gravel and grass when plowing sections of his driveway. So he designed a rig that would attach to the back of his tractor plow to allow for a 2” clearance. He needed two heavy duty casters and wheels that could withstand the impact and shear force of plow operation and easily roll over rocks and bumps.

Caster:

• 7.5” kingpinless swivel caster rig
• 6,000 lb capacity

Our client’s design involved welding a 2” hitch receiver to the back of his snow plow. He then welded a 2” receiver insert to a metal plate, where he drilled bolt holes and attached the unit to the caster top plate.
