ISO 9001 certification is awarded to companies that show active dedication to a set of procedures aimed to continuously develop and promote effective quality management systems. This certification also provides guidelines to assist in management's decision making for improved business efficiency and client satisfaction. ISO 9001 requires monthly quality audits and recertification every three years.
Instead of chasing the fast-track to a 6-month ISO certification, CasterDepot decided it was best to create deeply-rooted change through gradual procedural adjustments over 3 years. With a long-term goal in mind, CasterDepot re-organized and implemented scalable standards at its various locations. These changes ultimately saw CasterDepot transform from a company in the caster sales business to a value-driven organization that stresses operational excellence.
CasterDepot has seen double-digit growth over the last five years, acquired an east coast caster supplier, and underwent a total rebranding. Along with these big changes, CasterDepot made the necessary internal process adjustments to feel confident that pursuing ISO 9001 certification was a good cultural fit.
