Our Chicago and Corporate offices accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge!
You’ve probably seen it all over your social media news-feeds and clips on the news of the Ice Bucket Challenge sweeping the nation – and it’s all for a good cause! Raising awareness for ALS, also known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”. It is a “progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.” The disease causes loss of muscle control in the body, and many in later stages become completely paralyzed. As of Monday August 25, 2014 donations to the organization from the Ice Bucket Challenge have reached $79.7 million! (als.org)
