Kingpinless Casters: Strong, Reliable, and Enduring

While transporting heavy materials, suddenly a casters breaks. The room fills with the sound of scattering ball bearings, and you're left standing next to a motionless cart. Not a fun experience. How can you avoid this? Look to kingpinless casters for the answer.

The name "kingpinless" means exactly that--the caster does not use a kingpin. Due to this feature, these casters are much stronger and last a lot longer.

Traditional swivel casters use kingpins (a bolt or rivet) in order to hold together the upper and lower raceway bearings so that the caster can swivel properly. Kingpinless casters, on the other hand, swivel from the top plate itself because they have a raceway forged directly into the top plate.  So what does this mean?

This means that kingpinless casters can carry heavier loads, stand up to excessive turning, and tow much more weight at higher speeds—all the while they still swivel with ease.

Ideal for automotive plants, boat manufacturers, warehouse towing applications, and any other industry that requires moving heavy loads, kingpinless casters come in many different styles and sizes of wheels, brakes, and fastening options through CasterDepot. As shown in the picture, one of our most popular kingpinless casters is the Albion 110 Contender™.

Stop the wear and tear on your swivel casters—and on your patience. You can rely on kingplinless casters.
