Great wheels! I broke a wheel on my chair a few months ago and only bought one to replace it. I should have bought five because I broke a second one. I was completely amazed at the price of these casters. I looked online for nearly a month trying to find a vendor that didn't require an arm or a leg with the price.
These casters fit most task chairs that one would buy in a discount store such as Wal-Mart or Sam's club.
My best advice is to be sure and measure the stem diameter exactly.
(take a drill bit of a confirmed size and bore a hole in a soft piece of material like a foam block, then check the diameter of the stem to be sure it is exact.) Also measure the length of the stem. (Be sure the stem is removed from the chair and then insert a pencil or a similar object to check the exact depth that the stem can be inserted to determine the exact stem length you need.)
Finally, take a tape measure to measure the diameter of the wheels. Most task chairs have either a 50mm or a 60mm wheel size. Find a measure that has both inches and centimeters on either side.
I am very mechanically inclined but if I wouldn't have measured ALL three requirements as listed, I probably would have ordered the wrong size caster. If in doubt, at these prices, order a set of 5 so that you have a complete matching set. The most important measurement is the stem diameter and the stem length!

I researched online numerous hours trying to find a replacement set of casters for an office task chair. Since I have many chairs that are exactly identical, I was also looking for a quality product at a good price.

I found these casters last week and ordered five of them. The shipping was fast via USPS Priority Mail and when I received them, I confirmed that the casters were of very good quality.

I made an immediate decision to order 10 more because I always want to have some exta casters. The original casters that come with these chairs will eventually wear out but now I can have some replacements at my convenience.

I highly recommend these casters. They fit the office/task chairs that you would find at Sam's or Wal-Mart.

Just be sure to get an exact size of the stem with respect to the diameter and the length so that you can be as happy as I was to find these online. I have one long haired dog and one wire haired dog in my home office. Between the two of them my chair rollers were constantly getting stuck with fur. I took the old wheels appart and cleanned them. That was a dirty business and time consuming. On reassembly I had to oil the wheels and that just attracted dog fur faster. I found Great Lakes Casters online and I bought 100 new casters for about the price of five replacement cleanable casters/wheels. That is 20 replacement rounds for the chair. They look the same as the old wheels, they pop in easily and the chair glides all over. That is a perfect score for me.

The only reason I gave a score of 9 because, the originals have a circular plastic encasing around the stem as a result the stem doesnt show out and I think the encasing takes some/little direct load from the stem whereas these doesnt have such encasing. I have three different brand chairs surprisingly all three have that encasing.

I am so glad I found this site. I saved $15.00, including shipping & handling. I almost purchased a replacement set of office chair casters at an office supply store for $29.99. I was not sure if they were the correct size or type as they were in a sealed plastic package. I had one of my casters with me, but was unable to determine if they were correct due to the package.

On this site I was able to measure my old casters and compare with the site\'s dimensions. I placed my order on Sunday afternoon using regular shipping to save money. I returned home from work on Tuesday evening, and to my surprise, the package was waiting for me. I immediately opened it and put the casters on my chair. They were a perfect fit and one can not even tell they are replacements.

What a great site and product. I was able to match up the wheel I needed with one I had in hand. Not sure how the product is sold so cheap (please do not raise the price tho). Some profit made in shipping in handling, but my far, the most reasonable price.
Check out Staples and you will see a huge difference. I prefer to pay around $5 for 5 casters, rather than $42 charged at Staples. Glad I found you
