Press-on caster wheels (also called tires) are a cost-effective alternative to replacing an entire caster. To replace a press-on wheel, you simply press the new tread onto the cast iron core. Press-on wheels are typically made of either a rubber or polyurethane material, which means a wide selection of durometers and load capacity combinations are possible. Press-on wheels are normally found in heavy duty applications (more than 10,000 lbs) on the likes of industrial wagons and trailers.
