These casters were installed on 6 dining room chairs after we replaced the carpeting with oak flooring. These casters replaced single-wheel steel casters that were unsuitable for use on the new wood flooring. After a month of usage, we are very satisfied with the Urethane Twin Wheel Hooded casters from Great Lakes Caster. We see no evidence of any marks, indentations, or other distress on the wood flooring.

I purchased this along with similar 60mm casters, and the 60MM roll better, and seem to be made of a much softer material for hardwood floors. The 50mm seem to be exactly the same as what came with the chairs. I'd recommend that you pay extra for the larger 60mm ones. Oh, and double check your stem size because I had to RMA my first order and it wasn't easy.

I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of placing the order, and even more pleased with the product itself. I recently installed laminate flooring, and the wheels that came with my office chair were leaving marks. The Great Lakes wheels are quiet, very smooth, and leave no marks! Would HIGHLY recommend this product!

Perhaps it's only because our older casters were so bad, but these urethane wheels are magic! I have another dinette set and I will be looking into whether these wheels are available in other colors.

My wife was ready to kill over all the black marks our new dining room chairs were leaving and the difficulty in getting the chairs to roll, rather than skid on our tile floor. These wheels are so quiet and have no left any marks on my laminate flooring. Get these and pitch the plastic garbage that came with your office chair.

This caster rolls so smooth and quiet over a rough tile floor or hardwood it is truly remarkable. Comparing the cost of this caster to the standard plastic wheeled the differential is minuscule but the difference is gigantic.
Very real Benefits from just a simple project.

Very pleased with new coasters. They are much quieter than the previous nylon coasters that came with the chair. The tread is noticeably soft which makes me feel much better rolling around my hardwood floor!

I ordered these casters to replace the old hard NOISY plastic casters that came with the chairs several years ago. After searching the internet and finding comparable casters for $10.00 or more, I was about to give up when I found these. They are much quieter on my hardwood floors and for less than $2.00 they are undoubtedly the best value I have found in years!

I needed to replace hard twin wheel black hooded nylon castors on 2 desk chairs used on pre-finished hardwood floors. Although soft rubber would be ideal, I had trouble finding something that would look good and do the job. I just installed these; they look great, the chair rolls easily, and look like they are going to protect my floors. And this particular Great Lake product cost much less than a nearly identical product. Great Lakes staff was helpful and timely delivered.

I had 3 chairs being used on my hardwood floors and all of them needed soft (urethane) wheels instead of the stock wheels you get on almost any chair. After looking at several price comparison sites, and finding that the local Staples wanted $35+ for a set of 5 replacement urethane casters, I found Great Lakes Caster. I made one phone call to ask for clarification on the size, and proceeded to order 20 wheels for under $2 each. They were shipped immediately and showed up in 2 days. Great service and prices. Why buy anywhere else.

We just remodeled a 100 year old house into a medical office. All the floors are the original heart-of-pine, so we needed casters that wouldn't scratch, so we replaced the hard plastic casters on all 8 of the rolling stools with your urethane casters. What a difference! The price can't be beat--I can't imagine spending what other retailers charge for the same quality. Delivery was super-speedy, too. Thanks!
