"Good except on pine flooring " by W w

Leaves dents on heart pine flooring still. Was hoping these were soft enough to stop the damage but I still have to have a carpet underneath them

"Replacing Herman Miller Casters" by Ken

My Herman Miller casters have twice shredded. First I had the carpet casters, then the hard surface casters. Both lasted a year or two. Stumbled onto these on the web. Construction is much better than the original casters. Got the larger 3" version which makes for smoother rolling. Called to ask about compatibility with the HM chairs. Customer service was prompt and knowledgeable. Arrived quickly, fit perfectly. So far, so good. Highly recommend giving them a try.

We have a dining table with six (6) reclining chairs riding on a Mexican tile floor. The tile is rough cut and irregular - not good for the castors on my large dining chairs. Castors failed (shattered) on a regular basis.
I discovered these castors which are a bit larger diameter and have double rollers. - we replaced 30 castors a month ago and have had zero failures.
Equally important, the chairs with these castors now glide across the floor. Quiet, smooth, easy to roll, and so very durable.
Our problem is solved!! Good job!

Thumbs up. I ordered the larger size to raise my chair for better ergonomics. Haven't had long enough to assess how well they protect hardwood floors.

Exceeds every expectation I had. I weigh 310 lbs and these wheels glide effortlessly on my regular ole vinyl chair mat over commercial glue-down carpet. I bought a set at Amazon that claimed a weight rating of 125 lbs per wheel and it was a total lie. They actually shipped 2 full sets by accident. I had two wheels crack within 3 days so I replaced from the extra set. After two weeks, I didn't have a single wheel that hadn't failed in some way, one even totally shattered into pieces. I'm glad I found these. I'm having to adjust to the slightly higher seat due to the slightly larger diameter wheel, but it's totally worth it.

Got 5 of these to replace the inferior ones on my BIG GUY chair. These are rated much higher on weight. They installed very easy and roll much better than stock. This site has been bookmarked for future projects.

I relocated my office from a carpeted room to a room with soft wood floors. The old casters were marking the floor. I got these to replace the casters on three chairs. They are a little larger diameter than the originals. In each case they were easily installed and work great. They do not mark the soft wood floor, roll easier and are a great improvement on three chairs. The casters are not cheap but were much less money than protective floor mats, have the added convenience of not having to deal with the mats and are very heavy duty. I will use these for any future needs.

I purchased these casters as a replacement for the stock casters on my Herman Miller Aeron chair. They are fantastic (and much more affordable than the Herman Miller branded casters). Great Lakes shipped them very quickly as well.
